Blending herbs for use with animals is our special expertise - in the course of this work we are constantly reminded that no two horses or ponies (or any animals for that matter) are exactly alike. Powdered inner bark of the Red Elm tree (Ulmus fulva)
Slippery Elm powder makes an excellent poultice, because of its 'drawing' properties and can be used topically, as a safe and effective natural compress or poultice for both people and animals. Just add warm water to turn it into a slimy soothing paste.
